Pros

A decent way to get a first job straight out of college, and the work/life balance is usually pretty good--depending on who your boss is.

Cons

Working at EAB was an extremely negative experience. I'll highlight a few of the top reasons why: -the employees are EXTREMELY unhappy. It's all about portraying as though the company has this amazing culture, but almost no one believes it. It's very phony. -the pay is terrible, and room for growth is limited. They act as though starting off in an entry-level role will help you grow in the company, and they tell you upon hiring you that it will happen within 8-12 months. This is a blatant lie. The pay for entry-level roles is barely a living wage for DC, and it's a struggle to get promoted. There are no bonuses or recognition for a job well done. Management does not care. -The culture is a frat party of those who are liked. If you're not "in" based on who referred you into the elite circle, you never will be, and this makes it all the more difficult to succeed. People are not recognized for their merit. It's a social food chain, and it sucks. -Not only do they not elevate those who do well, but EAB does not fire those who do not perform adequately. I personally had a manager who repeatedly broke both company policy and the law (i.e. telling his employees they could not take PTO or had to "make up" the hours, gossiping and telling lies, etc. ) and senior management was very aware of this. Instead of terminating him, he was demoted from role to role (3 different roles within a year) until he left himself. This is not the only case of this--they won't fire someone who is bad, they just demote them, and it's not effective.
