Pros

Great mission and desire to impact the community. Lots of passionate people trying to impact education and make the system better. They are trying to innovate and the company has very smart people working hard on the topics that are meaningful to schools. Culture is great - lots of energy and young folks that tend to work together.

Cons

The organization is very top heavy with almost little, to no, diversity - both in race and gender. While they promote women up to a certain level, it seems like most women hit a glass ceiling, and definitely people of color do as well. I found it surprising given that the industry we serve is so focused on diversity but almost no member-facing reps are people of color. The firm talks a lot about how they want to change this, but very little action actually happens around the topic. EAB has a lot of talented people of color already, but the leadership at the very senior level doesn't seem the need to have them more visible or take them under their wing and cultivate them, opting to put more men and less diverse staff in more senior positions.

Pros

The work life balance is pretty good overall. There are certain teams who will try to limit PTO but mostly folks are pretty respectful of time off. Also, I loved working with 99% of the people I worked with. Met incredible friends and made great memories!

Cons

The infrastructure is still pretty shaken up after the split from ABC. Hire about 15 more dedicated FTEs to work on data integrity and technology quality. EAB is still best as a books and meetings company because even though the vision of the tech products is great, the delivery almost always falls short of acceptable. Stop promising things to members you cannot deliver on!
