Excellent place to work

Pros

Good hours, nice benefits, random niceties like bbq, games, free food. People switch nicely between relaxing when there's time to working their butts of when needed, most co-workers seem genuinely interested in doing a good job, helping both their own team and the departments as a whole. Concierges, we have them and they rock, they help deal with all sorts of stuff including running errands, taking cars to the shop, etc.

Cons

We're growing a lot, so it's getting a little crowded, but there are plans in place to fix the space-issue. When I say crowded I simply mean that it's nice to have headphones to shut out the noise and chatter, though most of the time it's not that bad. No free snacks. Parking is tough if you're a little late due to us expanding.

Some people love it, others not so much

Pros

For the most part there are a lot of great people working there, especially in the creative departments. The money is also very fair. Lower-level managers were pragmatic and great to work for.

Cons

Very corporate and sometimes stiff culture (though management tries very hard to act like this is not the case).

Pros

Royall has free parking, an onsite cafe and an open office layout -- nice if you like that sort of thing.

Cons

Royall used to be a great place to work, but I finally had to through in the towel after six years. The company is now little more than a marketing materials factory. Creative work used to be appreciated and occasionally rewarded, but not now. If you take a job here, be prepared for indentured servitude.
