      Pros

      Great benefits, good pay, the company that bought us (ABC) has really made everything better and possibly all of us more marketable when and if we apply for other jobs

      Cons

      Like any place there are company cliques but I feel that is inevitable. They encourage applying within for other opportunities but it doesn't really seem welcome. You don't actually feel comfortable expressing interest in other departments and if you don't get the other position you feel super awkward in your department.

      First off, some of these 1 star reviews are not an accurate portrayal of Royall. If you are that disgusted, you are not competent yourself, or something is not right in the head. There is one specific department that is generating the majority of those 1 stars --- they are understaffed and undertrained. I have been at Royall for +5 years and have enjoyed my experience very much. ---great culture ---fun, friendly, and young employees ---great vacation time ---challenging work ---growth opportunities ---good work/family life balance

      ---job satisfaction can greatly depend on your department. ---ABC (parent company) is pushing significant revenue growth, which could lead to questionable sales tactics ---some late nights (rare) but typical of most jobs ---some senior managers are disconnected from their departments

      -Company has changed for the better in the last 2.5 years (beware of older reviews) -Great social atmosphere -Working for colleges is meaningful -HR is constantly hosting contests/socials/yoga/tournaments -Employees have strong will to achieve/work -Employees have positive outlooks on life in general -Plenty of vacation time and holidays with ABC buying us (good work/life balance) -Forgiving/realistic managers -Chris Marett and most upper management is super approachable and listens to what you have to say -Calling out "RVA Sweatshop" review: If you are professional and used to working for a company, you'll go far. If you sit there and feel like you are being mistreated, without talking to your manager, and seethe - then the perks may feel like a cover-up. For the rest of us, they are awesome! :)

      -Could have more career opportunities/exploration within the company -Some departments do not have the manpower they need -Lack of visibility into other people's workload
