Pros
you will meet some great people and you will bond because you are all suffering together
Cons
everything else - the pay is horrible - after 6 years of working 60 + hour weeks I finally hit 50,000. As a salary employee you have to clock in/out, they will give you schedules that are detrimental to your health - work a 15 hour day and get off at 11 pm, must be back at 7:30 am the next day for another LONG day. Your schedule changes every 5 weeks so good luck actually having a life and being able to plan things. Do you want to move up at this company? Either kiss someone's butt or be prepared to sleep with the higher ups - this place treats employees like slaves which is obviously reflected in the high turnover. Also - students do NOT come first - students' MONEY comes first - they will do everything they can to get anyone to sign up for classes and then they insist you pass them through so they can continue to cash in on their student loans - working at this place will not only be detrimental to your health but will also do a number on your ethical beliefs. Even if you have a family to feed and care for, they will respect you more if you find a different job where they actually treat humans like they matter and aren't just in it to steal students' money and act like faculty are slaves. Run as far away from this place as you can.
