Pros

Plenty of interesting projects to get involved in. Pay and benefits are about average for entry level technicians/scientists. If you work hard and are willing to relocate you can move up pretty quickly. All the management and coworkers I've met have been great.

Cons

Not really a con, but you have to be proactive about what you want from the job. Talk to your managers about where you want to go and what you want to do - they'll listen to you. Display competence and a willingness to learn and grow and you'll do fine. Hours can be quite long, depending on the project. Also seems to be up to the tech to ask for more or less hours.
