      Pros

      Relaxed work environment, co-workers become like family. “Team building” events outside of work brought everyone closer together, on multiple occasions.

      Cons

      There are no advancement options, unless you are an engineer. The company is mediocre, at best, competing with new companies that offer much more to their employees. Policies and procedures are constantly “changing”. IT needs to get themselves together, the programs are constantly crashing or being updated.

      Pros

      Financially healthy company with consistent opportunities for hard working employees. Great entry level engineering training program.

      Cons

      None that are worth mentioning. ECS is an employee owned company, and every employee is a part owner. Many of the complaints I have read from current or past employees sound more like "rants" than either facts or constructive feedback. My comment to prospective employees considering ECS as an employer is to take some of the "rants" with a grain of salt. Not every employee is a match for an employer. We in fact have a very low turn over ratio for salaried staff so we must be doing something right. Benefits and pay are quite competitive. You can't have a successful company without these attributes. ECS was just ranked ENR's #75 largest engineering firm in the U.S. That's impressive for a 30 yr old company.

      Pros

      The upper management at the local office is great. Everyone is helpful and easy to work with for any joint projects. Work schedule and your office hours are very flexible and are based on what you decide for the project.

      Cons

      Salary is a little low and any real changes you want in procedure or policy have to go through corporate, which can be more difficult.
