Great team with some difficult upper management
Pros
The technical team overall was one of the best that I have had to opportunity to work. Bright, hardworking, and motivated to get it right the first time. Also, their sales management systems and efforts have some of the best processes that I've encountered. Overall good operational discipline and a high quality earnings model.
Cons
Mid-level management was typically outstanding and well understood the mission challenges and opportunities. Some of the more senior managers are driven entirely by making this year's bonus and resist the continuous evolving and development of new ideas and innovation. Also, seems to be broad consensus that it is past time for the founder to step down and let the next generation take over both the strategy and vision for the firm, until this happens transformative change will not be available.
