Pros

I have worked in the Richmond office about three months now, and it was probably the second best choice I have made career wise right behind choosing to continue my education and get a Masters Degree in Geotechnical Engineering. Everyone in the office is friendly and easy to get along with, making it a great work environment. The biggest pro for me has been the opportunities my supervisor has given me thus far. Even though I just recently started, I have been put on large and technically challenging projects and have been surrounded with very knowledgeable co-workers that are providing invaluable mentorship. This combination is allowing me to grow as an engineer much faster than my fellow classmates and friends that are currently working for other companies.

Cons

Some of the software the company uses is slightly outdated and newer more efficient programs should be utilized.

the people are nice and maybe you get a shot to move up in the company unless they hire new people into positions that you would move into.

Cons

Low Pay! I mean really low. They expect you to work an inordinate amount of hours for an obsurdly low salary.

Project Managers and Engineers are very helpful. Management tries to understand technicians.

Cons

With that said, No room for advancement; Odd working hours due to co-worker not wanting to get up for early pours; No company cars; not guarantee 40 hours work week especially during winter
