You make it the way you want it. If you are willing to hone your skills as a project manager there is numerous opportunities to test yourself and expand your skillsets. Construction Materials Testing (CMT) and Geotechnical projects are smaller than what would typically be managed at a GC firm for example, making it a good opportunity to test the waters as a project manager in the construction industry.

Cons

Not the company's fault but the pay is not as attractive to what you might find in different sectors of construction solely due to how firms in this sector operate.
