Pros

The health benefits that were offered were very good. You work with a lot of great people. They offer some training for the TSS staff but not nearly as much as the sales department. There is a trip involved to help you better understand the tours you are selling. Lots of vacation time and they are closed on the weekends.

Cons

The job was advertised as a customer service job but make no mistake their goal is for you to sell everything to everyone. You are required to cold call people all day (even when people are trying to reach customer service for assistance) to try and get them to buy travelers insurance. You get paid MUCH less than the sales staff whose job is to get teachers on board and teach them how to recruit students to join their tour. More people quit the roll than move in the company. Suggest you try for a "Tour Consultant" role as it is a much better position to hold within the company.

Great perks, but don't expect to grow professionally...

Pros

The people!! you will never find such an amazing group of people and camaraderie anywhere else. I really loved our mission and truly believed I had an impact in those that traveled with us.

Cons

There is a huge deal of inequity and no room for growth. They like to build you dreams that you are ready for "the next step" but trust that years will pass and you will find yourself in the same spot, stuck and no room for growth.

Pros

No pros to talk about. It would not be honest

Cons

Unless you are white or Chinese, this company do not give a damn about you. They treat people of color like they do not exist. They know we have the degrees and the knowledge to teach a class, but that doesn't matter. The parents want to have white only teachers and the school will give the Chinese teachers and White teacher better tools and feedback. If you are looking to start a career, it is a joke because of the ladder you have to climb to get to the top. Respecting people of color is the issue, and like I have stated, they only want White teachers and local Chinese teachers.
