Fianlly took back control of my life (USA)
Pros
Many technically amazing co-workers. Great technology in a very narrow field. Almost everybody is nice. Positive reviews must be coming from India, where employees may go somewhere for a couple of years, thanks to heavy turnover and different work standards.
Cons
For years, EFI has shamelessly moved good jobs and knowledge from the USA to India. After years of very good reviews but no raises and only laughable bonuses, if any, it is time to go. Motivation is near zero when you must apply for unemployment, thanks increasingly frequent furloughs. While EFI saves money, your health and your quality of life are affected by increasing work and long hours across multiple time zones. After a moment, shouldn’t someone stop and think “What is in there for me, doing always more? Where is this life leading me, my family, my future?” My friends who left earlier, they already did better.
