Pros

Growth Opportunities: I've been given numerous opportunities to expand my skills and take on new challenges. Supportive Team & Management: The people here are a big reason why I've stayed at EMSC. EMSC has a talented and collaborative team and they genuinely care about employee well-being and success. Positive Work Environment: The company culture is positive, inclusive, and fun. It's a place where you feel valued and appreciated, even as a remote employee. Meaningful Work: We work with a diverse range of clients with different business goals which makes the work engaging and rewarding. Work-Life Balance: While the digital marketing world can be fast-paced, EMSC understands the importance of work-life balance and promotes a healthy work environment. Strong Leadership: The leadership team is passionate and invested and they are always looking for ways to improve and innovate.

Cons

The fast-paced nature of agency life combined with my personal investment in the company's and clients' success can lead to periods of high stress.

Beware of this boutique agency.

Pros

The insurance they offer is quite expensive considering the current market conditions. Notably, they lack an HR department, which is quite concerning. In my opinion, every agency, even the smaller ones, should have an HR department. You’ll likely have to wear multiple hats for a minimum pay and will be expected to have multiple clients across various industries. They’ll make you feel that all the burnout is due to the agency life, which is not entirely accurate. Some of the clients you’ll have to work for are extremely rude and clearly not screened by the salespeople.

Cons

Hire an HR department asap.

Pros

Highly organized workflow, great team members who truly care about their work, good communication, fair pay. Actually enjoyed my time there. Got the opportunity to do a lot of good work, learned a ton, and was treated fairly. All opinions seemed to be valued.

Cons

Got laid off after the company lost a big client and another deal fell through. Several others too. Not sure the reasoning behind who was chosen to be let go, but stability seems to have dropped off significantly and seeing more turnover than before. The bones of a great company is here, but tread carefully and look out for yourself. No real HR presence. I was not offered any form of severance. Had to fight for just 2 weeks of extended pay, and had absolutely no notice of my termination. Woke up to a meeting scheduled for me, met with CEO and manager, got the news, and was locked out my accounts 15 minutes later. Ouch.
