Pros

0. The best part which I remember at last is the promotion process it is the ultimate reason to appreciate the epam system, no biased promotion, no middleman like managers are involved, no approvals or justifications needed from leads , if you have capabilities, if you have knowledge, go for the assessment , a global team will assist you with unified assessment program and interview based on your level and there you go , based on the results you get promoted and hikes are also good in case of promotion, and the look and frustration on yours leads face when he doesn't want you to grow 😀 👍. 1. Work life balance 2. Certain projects with permanent WFH. 3. Flexibility with work hours and wfh. 4. Employees friendly policies, they do care. 5. Pay and increaments is not OK for existing employees but they do pay good offers to new joiners just like every other organisation. 6. No firing and all , these news are fake , maybe just those rarest of rare cases who don't get projects in even 4-5 months only , otherwise I too had spent 2 months after ramp down from my last project , but there was no pressure or stress over it, rather they focus on your trainings , incubation to get you on boarded. 7. Technical interviewers bonuses are good

Cons

1. Certain projects have created a lobby (maybe regional or language specific , so you might face some back pulling if unfortunately onboarded into those project) I can not name the project , but I felt heavy setbacks in every terms whether in growth, work, communication everything, ultimately they had me ramped down by saying client cost cutting 😊, when I constantly raise concerns over Certain things which were not appropriate, but that's fine , even I felt stuck and de motivated there. So it totally depends on the project if you get good project then there is no chance you will leave EPAM. 2. Project allocation interviews are quite advanced or maybe too difficult level , the leads thinks that everyone is master of everything and one aspect which I want to highlight is when org is making people use of AI extensively then why these interviews focus most on syntax , book wise knowledge like you don't have anything in your support while development like stackoverflow, AI or any other help , the expectations in project interviews are too high due to which project allocation gets delayed and people start looking outside the organisation also due to insecurity.

Pros

Opportunities for career growth and promotions over time. Supportive team culture and generally comfortable work environment. Bench management is reasonable—people aren’t immediately cut when between projects. Exposure to international projects and clients.

Cons

Salary increases are limited, especially at senior levels; promotion does not always come with corresponding pay raise. Internal training quality has declined; fewer and less engaging courses compared to the past. Company focus has shifted more towards clients than employees; employee experience is less prioritized than before. Project availability can be challenging, especially in specific locations like Serbia. Typical challenges of outsourcing, including occasional project reductions and bench periods.
