Pros

EPB has a reputation of customer service for a reason. They will do anything they can to help keep the customers happy. They are also very focused on improving the community. I have loved their environmental stance as well. They have one of the most environmentally friendly buildings in Chattanooga. The pay is nice, and the benefits, especially the affordable medical plan, is wonderful, but the best part are the other employees. Sure, you will run into some that should probably move on because they are disgruntled, but the vast majority of employees love what they do and they support the mission of EPB to better the community. EPB lives that message, and as an employee you get to be a part of truly making a community better as a result of your actions.

Cons

Two things. 1. not many employees leave, so promotions are not nearly as common as in other companies our size. 2. Not all managers are created equal. Some are amazing leaders and some need more training. I have had the fortune of serving under a great leader. However, there is now a more concerted effort to train and hold accountable the managers overall.
