Pros

-The technical people are good and collaborative. -There is a global scale of technical information and people to rely on and that can support you on a technical and mentorship level. -The technical team managers are good. -The health and safety and well being of employees is a high priority and this is emphasized. I've seen it put to the test many times with positive outcomes. -Even though the company wants people to work in offices, 100% remote work is allowed for most positions, even though it is not advertised on job postings.

Cons

-Like most companies, the pay does not scale with the industry and ERM's competitors and you will have to go find other job offers on a routine basis to keep your pay in line with the industry. -It is hard to get approval for external technical training or technical conferences. Assume that any conference or workshop request won't get approved if a client isn't present at it. Many technical team managers are frustrated with this. -All new employees that I talk to say the general ERM indoctrination training is not useful. The only way to figure out what internal training is actually relevant is to have a line manager who knows, or find a peer who knows. -Some project managers are better than others. Just remember that you work for your technical Line Manager, NOT a project manager. -IT resources, hardware and data servers are a bad and need major top-down overhauls to equipment and processes.
