Pros

No Pros. The company has grown but so has the cancer inside.

Cons

No one is safe at ESL. ESL is run like a communist country. You can not trust anyone. No one is your friend. Be paranoid because they are out to get you. Stress level is always high for everyone. Goals, people being fired daily, being watched and just a high stress environment makes it a boiling pot. Even the phones, computers and offices are bugged. Open your mouth and you could be the next one to exit. You are always being watched by someone. Big brother is all around you daily. You will never be free to be creative at this company. If you speak up to change things or try to make them better, you could be walked out for just trying to do the right thing. The group culture rules and is usually wrong. The management at ESL is usually clueless about what is going on. Management has meetings behind closed doors making decisions that are usually poorly planned out. Employees are never consulted. Many managers never even talk to their employees. What would it take to say good morning or acknowledge you exist. Its all about making money at the non profit credit union at any expense including taking advantage of the elderly. Its is for sure run like a big bank for profit, not a Credit Union. Employees can and will be sacrificed for the goal of greed at ESL. Greed is good. Get is good. All Members are predatory targets in the quest for goals and profit. Its an obsession. Members are sold products and service that are usually not in their best interest but that is not important because goals must be meet to keep your job at ESL. Forget morals or your conscience. Forget about doing the best for the member and the right thing. The management demands goals be obtained or heads will roll. And they do roll. Out the door. Failure is not an option at ESL. Even Managers get the shaft on a regular basis. Usually the ones with high integrity and dedication are let go. They do not fit in with the ESL Culture and never will. Most ESL employees/managemnet are sheeple. The have no ambition to get ahead. Most with ambition are long gone.Fired or they quit. The ESL employees do not question, think, buck the system and block out what is going on around them for a paycheck and a bonus. I can not recommend this company.

MAKE GOALS OR YOUR FIRED !

Pros

No Pros unless you like taking advantage of people to make yourself look good and to keep your job.

Cons

You will make your goals. Its mandatory. You will be forced to sell. Sell. Sell. Sell. You are forced to shove products down customers throats. Especially the poor and elderly which are easy prey. Its dead wrong. I do have a conscious. To bad the leadership at ESL does not. ESL then will give the money away and Dave Feidler will shine in the community as a hero. Dave Feidler gives a $500,000 gift to the United Way while I screw an 80 year old man sick with cancer'. It's so I can make my goals and keep my job. I am stressed out all the time from this place. Same customers every week bank at ESL. Hard to make goals with no new customers coming in. Management could care less about what you have to say they just tell you to make goals or you are out the door. Its just not worth the stress and what you get paid plus very conflicting with my morals. Its all for a sick CEO that has no ideal how to run a credit Union or how to treat employees or customers. Its a non profit credit union out to screw members including widows, elderly, poor, sick and dying and using employees. Then we have the CEO's foolish minion upper managers that question nothing but follow orders. Mindless zombie managers that are useless. Thank God I still know right from wrong and have decided this is not the place I want to be working for the rest of my life. I am ashamed to be working here at all. ESL does not have to be run the way it is but but the CEO is one poor leader. I can not live with myself being dishonest and a predator so that I can make goals to serve a leader that is a fool. Finding a job where I can truly serve members with honesty, dignity and with good intentions is my goal. I really love working with people but can not reach my potential at ESL. It never will..

Pros

Management really cares about employees, great benefits, inviting culture competitive salary and lots of growth if you work hard.

Cons

Sure there are some challenges, but they don't compare to other organizations. Senior management gets a bad wrap from some employees, but those employees don't know how good they have it. Honestly, if you hate it so much, please do us all a favor and leave. It will be good for you and the company.
