Low pay If you don't have a long term position, you have to worry about where you're going each day It's incredibly sad leaving a long term position you loved

get to choose the district you want to work in and the school plus your hours.

Cons

no benefits, no insurance, no salary increase, no moving up the ladder within them, you simply stuck being a substitute teacher with them unless you become a teacher other wise there's no promotion for you.
