Working with ESS

Pros

The past year working with ESS has been one without any issues that were not handled promptly and with the highest degree of Customer Service. When I called, my issue was heard, understood, and forwarded to the correct person.

Cons

Students are apt to take the title of 'Substitute Teacher' and treat it with a lower amount of respect vs 'Guest Teacher' or Teacher. When students ask if I am their Substitute Teacher, I answer that I am not a sandwich and am theirTeacher with credentials.

Good for short-term not long term

Pros

The flexibility of the schedule and set hours depending on the assignment. Some of the classes have great students and teachers.

Cons

The pay and benefits aren’t great, not something that’s feasible for long term career growth. Sometimes you are assigned to certain tasks you may not have the training for.

Terrible management

Cons

HR Management is completely terrible and degrades their own employees whenever they feel something is off. HR management does not care about their employees and would rather listen to the schools instead of their employees as well. They have too high expectations when the training is subpar and lacks real use in the classroom environment.
