Pros

The stated mission of the company is great......serving moms.

Cons

Not what I interviewed for. I was hired as an Assistant Manager. I knew immediately something was amiss. The environment was very toxic! . I was hired into a threatening situation where everyone ran all over each other and was extremely competitive, Even though they say they do not work on commission, they operate as though they do. They want only people who will do anything to get Sales. They are certainly not about serving. Upper management knows of the harmful situation and continue to allow it. The stock room was a complete mess. The company is a disaster.

Pros

Flexibility My co workers are wonderful!

Cons

The only full time employees in store are managers. No benefits for pt employees, which includes health insurance or pto (even after years of employment) Corporate is pricing out employees and becoming more and more strict with giving out any extra discounts (coupons for 60% off ONE item if we make a $1000 sale are like our gold stars). Employees in my position (inventory) aren’t eligible for coupons, but don’t get any other perks in lieu of coupons and don’t get paid anymore than the stylists who are eligible. More and more restrictions are being placed on giving coupons and how they are used.

Pros

generally decent clothes/jewelry, stores are smaller so you get to know the employees well just talking to them when it’s slow. There’s not a ton of busy work so you can focus on the customer.

Cons

Not everyone wants the experience this company expects us to give every single time. Like I read in another employee’s review, I see it drive away sales. It doesn’t feel authentic when you’re forced to keep pestering a customer who has made it VERY obvious she would prefer to shop alone. It’s sad that there is so much pressure to make sales that it becomes mantipulative, forced, and not a real connection. We’re supposed to tell people we don’t work on commission but then don’t respect their personal space and shove clothing at them because it’s part of the Evereve styling experience? Employees will complain about a customer only buying one thing and it drops their personal sales numbers; it’s fake and it’s not about actually styling a woman with “heart” it’s “try and get a woman to buy a ton of stuff even if she’s not interested so my numbers look good”
