Pros

- Great entry level job into the world of corporate fitness. - Working alongside very passionate and knowledge fitness coaches. - Great client base, though it will base on which contract/ location you work at.

Cons

MANY - Poor pay, they do not scale based on area. You will be making in the Bay Area (with a higher cost of living) as a coworker in Arizona (lower cost of living). - Poor leadership, management seems to promote based on personal bias and favoritism. No clear career path, common statement from leadership is 'be patient.' - HIGH Turnover, within my first year we were losing a coach a month. Keep note that management will not fight to keep you, they will argue that you are 'not loyal' and are 'money hungry'

Pros

Benefits. PTO. The company itself is great, if you are working with athletes and younger populations. Great full time opportunity with benefits IF you are brand new to the fitness industry or have just graduated with an exercise degree.

Cons

Long hours with nothing to do. Way too much downtime. Teaching classes can be good time fillers, but with a lot of staff and not a lot of classes, that leaves not many to teach. Not many clients walking in for personal training. Would be a better part time position. Pay isn't great, but then again you sit here doing nothing for 8 hours. Definitely not a good job if you have been in the industry for a while. No room for growth. Not many education opportunities.
