      Pros

      I like the corporate culture as well as the reward for innovation and creativity. People are extraordinary and the professional atmosphere and desire to succeed is obvious. The benefits are outstanding.

      Cons

      Advisory is a growing practice and finding a client engagement can be difficult. Strong desire to be in the home office for the practice but willing to work with you to meet personal desires.

      I've been with the firm 15+ years in Tax, in Client Service and non-client service positions. I've worked in 6+ EY offices across 4 different countries. -great opportunity to live overseas -if you are a self motivated individual you can move up quickly and have an excellent career -a pension, a well funded one at that - this is why our bonuses are a joke - we have a pension. -variety

      Cons

      -if you want to make partner forget about work/life balance -slow to change, or embrace change -decisions made (especially around technology) by Partners who have no clue about technology

      EY offers flexibility and great opportunities to grow within the firm. You get the opportunity to work with the brightest minds in the market. I have dearly enjoyed working with EY.

      Cons

      Public Accounting can be an stress full job in some situations. Particularly during the busy season, it measures your endurance and patience if you can survive the busy season. One who can survive also thrive in the firm.
