Would I do it again? I honestly don't know
Pros
Getting to work with a large group of people your age is something many jobs can't offer. All CPA expenses paid for means you can get your exams paid for, get your work experience, get your license, then bounce. As I'm told, putting in any time at a Big4 will anchor your resume for the rest of your career, which is the one silver lining of this experience.
Cons
The way this firm (and all Big4) gaslight you is crazy. It's unfair and most people will get screwed over by difficult engagements, toxic teams, poor scheduling, etc. and be driven to quit and EY does not care. The churn and burn is real and it's abundantly clear we only exist to line the partners' pockets. I started 9 months ago and this job has made me depressed, anxious, and gain weight. At this point I just want to hit 1 year for my CPA work experience and bounce to an industry staff job. I don't know if my mental health can hold up through another busy season.
