Pros

Fortune 100 company and has locations across the world. Provides great equipment and office space. Traveling for work was plus for me.

Cons

When I joined EY, the majority of the interns and I joined because it had a great work culture. Post-COVID though, you can tell that the culture had faded dramatically. The focus was a lot* less on coaching new hires and more just asking for the work to get done and to "figure it out". I still have hope for the firm, but changes need to be made in order for this to return to the work environment I feel like I could thrive and grow in. The firm preaches to have a "growth mindset", but that's difficult when you feel like you don't have the resources to learn how to do your job up to expectations.

Pros

Big company with some benefits.

Cons

I used to work as an associate position at EY .When I joined I saw a lot of benefits for women. So, after one year of working I decided for family planning. My seniors were not cooperative. They are unlikely to teach you anything. Also, the company has peculiar formal training which has nothing to do with actual work. So either you have to work by yourself or ask senior for help. In my case, seniors were so arrogant that it will demotivate you to ask them. Mangers would always support high performers. Even if they see you trying hard to understand the process it won't help you get over the bad review by seniors. With all that pressure I had a miscarriage. I was shattered but as a staff I was so scared to tell my story to my manager . They won't listen to you apart from your bad review. Aftet 3 months I was expecting again and I changed my team. I was happy with my new senior and manager to whom I got along very well and they were teaching me after knowing my story. However, when I was 5 months of pregnant, I got laid off. Even though I have not got any review from my then current senior. Based on my previous bad review by the worst team I got laid off. As a pregnant woman it was not that easy to get started another job. Like who would hire me if I need to take maternity leave 3 months after joining the firm. I have got many offers but I had to decline all the lucrative offers. I became a dependent person. Fortunately, I had my family support but if I had not then I would have been destroyed. After knowing I am pregnant they laid me off. This was not an expectation from a big firm .

Pros

Great team to work with.

Cons

You are seen as a replaceable slave. Was told it was a hybrid work environment but then made to work on site everyday. Constantly being promised things that aren’t followed through upon. Extremely low salary for the amount of work and time being put in. Senior Managers micromanage, threaten to report staff to HR for their own mistakes, they expect you to work on weeks that are supposed to be time off for the whole company and then punish you if you say you already had other plans, etc.
