Pros

Good benefits. Good salary. Lots of industries and projects to work on (get a breadth of experience). Great people to work with, generally. Flexible work schedules/environments (WFH is easy/allowed depending on the project, even before COVID). Supportive/teaming work environment (not ultra-competitive/cut throat).

Cons

Lots of bureaucracy - To be expected in a large firm, I suppose. Roll outs/communications of policy changes are done poorly Lots of changes being made constantly to policies - For example: vacation policy has updated 2 times in 2 years. Internal infrastructure needs updating - It's 2020, why do some EY tools only work in internal explorer? Changing of Goal Posts - it seems like in the past year or so, the goal posts of what being good/great and setting yourself up for promotion keep changing (getting more difficult to achieve). Those changes aren't really communicated out, and it makes the review cycle a bit of a black box. Work life balance is very tough - This is consulting; you know what you're getting into; the hours can be long (and you may not be allowed to book all those hours). If you like the work, this isn't a huge deal, but if you don't, it will be a nightmare of a job.
