Pros

The workforce is exceptional! I'm surrounded by smart, motivated, hard-working, tenacious people. It is very invigorating to work in this environment. I'm required to bring my very best to work everyday to keep up with the pace and that brings out great things in me. I have learned and developed a lot in this environment. The flexible work arrangement is nice: flexible work hours and location is welcomed and encouraged. The benefits are great. The opportunity to move into different roles isn't easy but is possible if you're patient and know the direction you want to go. The company has a mission to create a better working world and strives to achieve that internally and externally through the corporate engagement initiatives, Entrepreneur Of The Year program and other company initiatives.

Cons

Work life balance is a big challenge. The work load can be daunting.

Pros

International firm, so global opportunities are plentiful Flexible work schedule Young and lively workforce Opportunities to see how multiple companies operate

Cons

Note: These cons pretty much apply to all Big 4 accounting firms, not EY exclusively. Long hours, especially during certain parts of the year Day-to-day work tends to be unexciting Benefits tend to be less significant than those provided in corporate accounting roles Performing audits isn't necessarily "fulfilling"

Awesome for early to mid- career professionals

Pros

Provides incredible resources for work and personal life. An honest attempt is made by the Firm to provide awesome workplace experiences and opportunities and they succeed quite well for workers early or mid-way into their career.

Cons

The eight of its owns size and policies/procedures makes on-boarding in the firm and acclimation to operational processes is a tumultuous experience. As a veteran in my field with 28 years of experience in my field and joining the Firm as part of an acquisition of another, smaller company, the entire experience to date has felt like, looked like and truly was a demotion in all ways except for salary.
