Pros

The brand carries some weight

Cons

All around bureaucracies. A lot of politics across all teams. Superficial diversity. Contradicting methodology in audit (consists pressure on hour reduction to boost earning while adding unnecessary documentation requirements) - eating hours is a normal practice here, or worse, people being given additional work beyond their capacity.

Sinking Ship

Pros

Decent culture, generous time-off (for the time being), decent pay (not compared to competitors)

Cons

Over the years, it’s been clearer and clearer that EY is a sinking ship. It’s made a lot of changes that claim to be “for your benefits” with a catch. The most recent change is the switch to “unlimited vacation”. This is really the punch in the face that made everyone angry. It’s a blatant robbery. The worst part is that the leadership made it sound “You asked, we listened” while literally no one asked for it. And they chose to do this just when people didn’t use vacation much this year and less than one year from the latest vacation policy change. EY Leadership these years is very hypocritical. Other than the vacation change, the performance review with LEAD has become very shady. You used to know if you’re rated 3/4/5, but the new LEAD system has no clear indication. It comes down to behind your back conversations. People with similar dashboards have different raises. Absolutely ridiculous. I used to be super proud of working for EY, and now this is very disappointing.
