Pros

Laid back, casual work environment. Collaboration between teams is healthy.

Cons

No on-boarding, no training. Lot's of pressure to deliver with unrealistic deadlines, projects are not scoped properly leading to delays and misunderstanding between client and vendor. Management is set in their ways, not open to new ideas and doesn't listen. If you don't fit the mold you will not make it.

Pros

The health insurance coverage is some of the best I have ever had and the cheapest too. They invest in their employees, I was able to move within the company to a job that is very difficult to get without prior experience. It is a growing company that still has that small company, tight-knit feel. I quickly made friends and felt at home. It is refreshing to see a company espouse some of the same values that I have about the world. The company had a few initiatives like interest free loans for solar panels or electric cars. They also had a program to switch out your gas powered lawn equipment for electric ones. They also have free lunch once a month that is very healthy and tasty. It is cooked by an organization that helps at-risk youth.

Cons

The morale was quite low. This was only true for one of the two departments I was in and I don't want to give the impression that everybody in this department was negative. It's just that the loudest/strongest personalities were negative to a degree I wasn't comfortable with. Particularly, I was quite uncomfortable that I would regularly hear other employees spoken about negatively and sometimes even maliciously. Management was well aware of this as it was often done in the presence of a manager. Being in an entry-level role this added to the difficulty of asking for help. I sometimes wondered if I was spoken about with the same animus, though I will state that I was treated professionally and was never treated unkindly. As were the people I'd hear spoken about with malice. After some time away I've come to understand that for my own particular personality and for the particular position I was in, the environment was detrimental to my mental health and not conducive to growth. This is all subjective of course. Obviously any future employee will be coming to this with their own unique personality and may be in a different place career-wise and might experience things differently. My experience is just a data-point for someone to consider what kind of energy/temperament that they want in their life. As for the reasons for the low morale, I believe much of that has been covered here in other reviews and I'm not particularly eager to write any more than I've already written.

Pros

They offer free fruit a couple times a week

Cons

They have no clue how to build software. The turn over rate is very high. 2 years is a tenured employee in IT. They have bad team leads that all are arrogant and boss people around. They don't give people laptops. They fail to meet ADA compliance, too.
