Rewarding work, bad internal politics

Pros

Lots of coworkers are great. Cool science. Pay is OK but good benefits. Flexible hours.

Cons

Managers, VPs and some C levels are generally poor performance at their jobs. Too concerned with "optics", decisions made on this instead of worker needs. Stuck in academic mindset. Gender ratio good but diversity is not good. Forget about promotions.

Peers are salt of the earth

Completely underpaid, overworked, position not valued by management, seniors gas might you saying the culture is worth the low pay but it’s toxic
