      Great company and environment, but poor management

      Pros

      loved working at Earthbound. Friendly customers and staff most of the time, cool products and a really amazing discount

      Cons

      unprofessional management. Manager of store would leave for hours to "recruit" while everyone else worked and sometimes wouldn't come into work. DM was an unorganized spirit that meant well but shouldn't have been given the position of DM

      Experience Depends on Management

      Pros

      A lot of freedom to interact with customers and to move up in the company. Typically, if you work at earthbound, people will have the same interests as you since it’s pretty niche.

      Cons

      Because the store is so small and some of the products are geared towards self improvement, personal business gets brought up a lot. It’s a tad unprofessional because of that; it isn’t supposed to be like that but it has been for the 2.5 years I was with the company. At my store, I was micro managed and my manager also attempted multiple times to pry into my personal life. My availability was never respected and at times I worked more than the assistant store manager. The pay is not great.

      Pros

      -Willing to train you to climb the ranks of the company ladder. -Understanding of needing/wanting to take time off, as long as you communicate.

      Cons

      - low pay for a lot of work ($9 an hour for cleaning, maintaining the store, dealing with shipment AND trying to sale stuff all at once) -Will train you to climb the company ladder, but do not assume that means they want to HELP you climb the company ladder....
