Pros

The employee discount. 50% everything is pretty cool- even though that's what the cheap product SHOULD be worth in the first place. Some of the people are really cool.

Cons

Little to no training on anything that you do. Typically, management will just be like 'here you go, go make sales'. Then, they'll proceed to get upset with you as you make a mistake on the POS system- a system they didn't teach you anything about, and is also extremely out dated. They fling out verbal and written consultations like it's in middle school. Although managers say that they want 'everyone to make goal this month!!', they always ring under themselves. Always. Employees were twenty, maybe even thirty percent down for the month and the managers were thirty to fifty percent above. They just care about their bonuses that they get at the end of the month. Everything here is cheaply made. Seriously. There are sweatshops, nothing is 'hand made in Nepal'. It's a great job if you want to learn how much you hate people. Management gets mad at you for things you weren't taught. Employees know this, but as soon as someone speaks up, they get fired.

Pros

The friends I've made. Sometimes getting cool t-shirts for 50% off.

Cons

Extremely unorganized, unprofessional, unrealistic and too demanding. They basically want you to shove all of their cheap products down the throats of customers. Their company sales technique is absolutely ridiculous for that type of store. People want to come in because it's "chill" and may have questions about some of the product. They don't want cheap things shoved down their throats and bombarded with questions. The buyers of the company suck. I don't see how they stay in business with all the cheap crap these buyers bring into the store. They also keep sending repeats of clearance items from two years ago. They never really make the products fresh and updated. They expect too much from their managers, assistants, and keyholders. They kinda want to take your soul. They don't listen to your concerns. Extreme lack of communication. They don't care about new ideas. Their sales goals are absolutely ridiculous. Theyve become so greedy that they've taken away part of a really nice christmas bonus and replaced it with getting a store visa gift card to share among the entire staff. And individuals can receive earthbound gift cards. They used to have a nice christmas bonus. But they're too cheap to do that anymore. They also send you ramen noodles and other cheap food for christmas as part of their "appreciation" for your hard work. I work my butt off at this place and get absolutely no recognition or praise for what I've done. Instead, I get criticized. They also let stores go months and months without managers and when that happens, they make assistant managers or keyholders run the store while not getting paid for the extra managerial work. They'll give you $50 extra dollars a week on top of your crappy 8.50 to 10.50 an hour to run the store and keep it together while they "look for a manager.." Basically, they pay you nothing to run the store like a real manager and pay you nothing for it and then criticize you if things fall behind despite the lack of training for when a store goes without a manager. And then they get a manager in there that criticizes everything and changes everything and then they do the work that you've been doing for months and they get paid salary because their job title says "store manager." Nothing about this company is fair to their employees. It's a joke. Their systems always crash. They don't update anything. YOu have to hand count the entire store for inventory. If you have a slow day with barely any customers, you'll get yelled at and you'll be blamed for the lack of sales. There is no logic in this company.
