Pros

The 50% employee discount is pretty awesome! I loved my coworkers and helping the customers. There is a hourly wage plus commission.

Cons

If the store doesn't make commission, no one makes commission. Management changes from store to store so I can't speak against my manager. District managers are a mixed bag too.

Will give above average starting salary to talented salespeople. Good vibes, no back stabbing or scrabbling. Clear instructions available for all jobs within the job description. Most products are great quality. Stock is always rotating. Loyal customer base. Great discount for employees. Great place to share stories with customers. NOT fast food!

Cons

The company is not willing to have a full staff of full time employees.Health care plan minimal, not available to part time employees. A corporation of this size should have more clout when it comes to benefits. floors too hard, inadequate lighting in store rooms. repairs ordered and completed for plumbing or cabinets is Third World slow.

Pros

The discount and the products are awesome! The best part about the job was the customers. You meet so many different, wonderful people and they make the environment so fantastic that you absolutely love going to work every day!

Cons

The only down side was corporate. They spend very little time actually in the stores and set very unrealistic expectations such as asking for 20% increases over LY. The most recent DM washiredfrom outside of the company and came in as if he knew it all and despite many calls to the home office filing complaints, he single handedly managed to lose 6 managers because of his treatment of people. The corporate office sets rules for the store level that they do not have to follow on a home office level and finally when you do reach out to the home office for help they act like you are severely inconveniencing them.
