Pros

Flexibilty, good culture, commitment to continuous improvement. Working for a company that has a "big" brand to has it perks- great benefits plan, sense of pride in where you work and a lot of really smart people working together towards common goals.

Cons

economic pressures (same goes for all businesses), resulting in less people doing more work = the need for continuous improvement. Another downside of a big company is (more) politics- common in anywork place. A flip side to one of my reasons for Kodak being the best place to work - flexibily- results in some people, sometimes taking advantage of that- which means other people end up picking up the slack for them.

Pros

Kodak HAD a great reputation as a good strong "American" company, with pride and loyalty promoting good American design and manufacturing quality processes and procedures. They give you a very enlightening and inspiring book about the founder, George Eastman (but I think it may not have been distributed to upper management).

Cons

Level of outsourcing is disgraceful. Managers refuse to acknowledge all of the outsourcing stories that have gone bad and just continue to stick our fingers into the fan. High-level management has no long term regard for preservation. Communication ("your voice heard") is non-existent. Non-management employees have no voice period.

Pros

fair compensation, market impact (Brand)

Cons

The future is uncertain and the lack of company growth limits opportunities for career growth.
