Pros

-Great people to work with and learn from -Strong culture of teamwork and collaboration -Opportunity to rotate to new positions every few years while remaining in Kingsport -Opportunity for international rotations -Invest time and money in the professional development of engineers -Better than average job security and work/personal life balance

Cons

Recent changes to HR policies are concerning and include: -Forced employee ranking which is already poisoning the culture of teamwork and collaboration -Reducing or eliminating recruiting and hiring from many great schools in favor of hiring only from a smaller group of HR determined "focus schools" will reduce diversity of thought and skill -Focus on Health and Wellness, a worthwhile goal in concept, has been taken in some cases to an extreme of "fat-shaming" and/or invasion of personal health matters

Pros

They pay you every two weeks ($31.46 hour Operator)... Small yearly bonus (some years)... Bare bones health insurance... 40 hours of paid vacation each year...

Cons

Company is ran by racist homophobic goof old boys!!! Few opportunities for advancement unless you related to someone in a position of power. Forced to work an insane amount of overtime due to manpower shortages. Lower than average pay. Operators and Maintenance workers are not valued by the company. Day workers and office personnel are given priority within the company.

Pros

The culture is team oriented and supportive. The people are fantastic to work with. The small town atmosphere of a global company headquarters is unique, and the town embraces Eastman and what is means to this region.

Cons

More diversity in senior leadership positions is needed. The company needs to ensure that the candidate pool for next generation leaders in being developed to be robust, diverse and reflective of the ideals of our employee base
