Pros

In my 36+ years of experience with the company I have never once been put in a position where I have ever felt like I was expected to do anything or make any decision that could be considered unethical, immoral, or non-professional. In fact, the expectation is just the opposite.....always expected to do the "right thing".

Cons

Most of Eastman's locations are in relatively small communities and are by far the "employer of choice" so pay and benefits are average at best.

Lots of young engineers are being hired by the company, little to no work politics, old timers will go out of their way to teach you everything, supervisors are very supportive

Cons

not as diverse as other companies but the company is trying its best, salaray is slightly less then competing companies, office space isn't the best but there are plans for improvement, longview location might not be suitable to everyone,

Everyone at Eastman Chemical cares for each other. This spills over into very physical manifestations such as safety, cooperation, and making it a fun work environment.

Cons

Such a large plant causes the walk to / from the parking lot to be a little frustrating at times. Especially in the rain, heat, etc.
