Pros

Eastman is a highly diverse company with endless opportunities. Salary is competitive. Work load is both reasonable and enjoyable. Management here is great and colleagues are people that I want to hang out with.

Cons

Not looking forward to a high deductible health care plan but I guess that is what everybody is going to eventually.

Eastman is a very ethical company that keeps personal and environmental safety at the forefront. The work is challenging but management recognizes and rewarded excelling performance. Coworkers are very friendly and always willing to help.

Cons

A conservative culture that is not always open to change.

The leadership team leads by example by creating a culture that allows employees to succeed. The company has a great safety mindset and is working on creating a culture of health. Eastman has a very competitive compensation and benefits package. Eastman is continuing to grow which translates into career opportunities. It's a place where team-mindedness is embraced.

Cons

As the company continues to grow globally, the Kingsport, TN corporate mindset will need to evolve into a global mindset. Employees located in Kingsport should understand that they represent only 50% of the workforce. In addition, a collaborative culture can sometimes be confused with driving to consensus. This can lead to decision making paralysis.
