Pros

Employees are highly compensated for their work while the company strives to provide an exception work/life balance. Coworkers are respectful of your time off from work. The culuture here is very supportive and inclusive.

Cons

Being a site away from Kingsport is challenging when trying to get things accomplished. It is harder for senior management to see employees doing a good job because they are not close by.

Pros

Eastman has an atmosphere of collaboration and critical thinking. Most people are sincere about being hepful in the spirit of everyone being successful.

Cons

At times, too much collaborative decision making can slow down the work. Also, employees that have been around a while need to do better to embrace those that work offsite. The attitude towards needing "face time" in order to get work done needs to TOTALLY go away if the company is to continue success.

Pros

Great people to work for. The culture is the best thing at Eastman. Having the option to work 4 9's and a 4 or 5 8's. There is something to for everyone as far as extra curricular activities go. Love the Eastman sports leagues.

Cons

The same as anywhere else really. It can be somewhat competitive and when you take over a role from someone else who moves on to another role, you often do not get much transition help from those whose role you are taking over. That means you pick up their projects in the middle and don't get much help figuring out where to go from there. Sometimes I think the managment wants to follow what the big companies do too much instead of stick to what has made Eastman a great place to be. So far they havn't done so, but I just sometimes think they want to.
