Pros

It is my 10th Eastridge anniversary today, so it felt like the perfect time to share and reflect on the past decade with our company. When I joined Eastridge as an entry-level legal recruiter I was so excited to be part of this company and that feeling has only grown with each year. It is very rare to find a company that provides so much opportunity - growth opportunity, earning opportunity, creative opportunity. Our company's mission is "to provide opportunity and enrichment through work" and I feel so grateful to be a living embodiment of our mission in action. Our culture is unmatched. We are invited to be our authentic selves and there is a deep commitment to growth and leadership development. The list of "pros" for me is very long, but one of the most important ones is the ambition our company has - there is a true pursuit of excellence and growth in the entire organization and it is such an incredible experience to be part of creating each evolution as we grow. Another would be the people - I know I am biased, but I genuinely believe we have the best people, biggest hearts, passionate and driven and it starts at the very top with our fearless leader and CEO, Seth Stein.

Cons

I would not have thrived this past decade if there was a list of cons. The only disclaimer I would give is that staffing is not for the faint of heart - it is an industry where drive, urgency and passion will take you very far. If you love the work like I do, the pace is a selling feature.

Well, there is a pretty good chance I know who wrote this :-) Happy 10 year Eastridge anniversary - it is truly an amazing milestone. People often ask me what has kept me at Eastridge for so long and you expressed many of the same sentiments - growth opportunities, purpose-driven, creativity and opportunity and enrichment through work. Plus, culture, authenticity, and more. I truly appreciate your kind words about the company and about me. Thank you for all you have done for so many of our clients, associates and our employee-owners. I am so fortunate to have the privilege to call you, and many others like you, a partner!

Thank you, I really appreciate your kind words. I'm so pleased that you think Eastridge is an awesome company with great people. We really try to make Eastridge a great place to work! You highlighting our culture and transparency is what I hope people learn about regarding Eastridge. I understand your comment about the ATS - while it is one of the bigger players in our industry, it is difficult to have a one size fits all approach with our diverse business. You are correct, we have added tools and technology (like Sense) to try to enhance the experience so thanks for your understanding. Thank you again for taking the time to leave your positive comment - your feelings about the company are certainly motivating!

Pros

They're not out of business yet

Cons

Maybe having hundreds of people attack clients incessantly in person, and via phone/email is not a good business practice. It might be avoidable if you had some sort of system to have everyone in the company be on the same page but that would make only too much sense. This place is insane, leaders at all levels have no idea what they're doing and it's clear. Making up random KPIs, demanding performance without helpful instruction, everyone having to be so guarded about their accounts because nothing is organized. The pay is horrible and then they spend money on items they don't need while blaming performers for not keeping the company afloat. Stuck in their old ways and they can't uphold their side of the bargain when it comes to change management they just expect the burden to be maintained by whoever it lands on.

I simply feel awful when one of our partners dislikes their job so much. We certainly have the best intentions. I hope you have shared these comments with your manager or HR to determine the source of the disconnect. It is difficult to respond without sounding defensive but I'll do my best to share our intent for you to consider and hopefully for those reading this review. Our clients have shared with us that they value expertise. While it is regrettable when we step on each others toes when reaching out to clients, it sometimes is inevitable that some people in our specialty divisions call on the same accounts. As you know, we value collaboration and cross-selling so there is no need for it to be "messy" with the right communication and planning. The reason we added HubSpot as our CRM is to enhance our ability to connect with prospects and give our team better tools with automation. The pro is a great system for sales and marketing. The con is it is different than our pay/bill system. That is the way we see this trade-off but I respect your opinion if you disagree. As for our leaders - we proudly share our strategic plan in every Town Hall (the goal is to be transparent and reduce any surprises). The idea is that leaders' goals and the KPIs of the business units all align with our key objectives. We also conduct rigorous management training so we are in a position to deliver our best for the team. I would say our strategy is working. In Q1, our year over year revenue grew while the next three similarly situated publicly traded competitors were all negative. In short our initiatives, including investments in our Talient technology, client success management program (to coordinate client communication), and strategic accounts team have yielded promising results. Please, please go to HR for help, or any leader you trust. It is not beneficial for you, or the company, to have you feel this way and I would love to try to help find some solutions.
