Pros

I learnt a lot about the food industry and the products, and had the chance to meet big names of the food world like chefs and producers. I've improved my team management and organizational skills.

Cons

Total commitment required and very bad salary if compared to the responsabilities I had to handle and the hours I spent in the store. No mentoring or help from upper management and chaotic hierarchy. Very hard to get career opportunities if you are not a family member or a friend, or a friend or girlfriend/boyfriend of a family member or a top manager.
