There's a reason why the turnover is so high
Pros
Some really great therapists work here and they become a wonderful support system. The location in great too.
Cons
This is for the ERC/Insight Chicago location: No work/life balance. You must have good boundaries to survive here or else you will be working around the clock and be in constant burnout. Unfortunately, they thrive off new graduates who don't know what a "normal" agency looks like and are taken advantage of as they try to prove themselves. The overall environment is very toxic, with unstable senior management that criticize and attack rather than support you. This creates a culture of fear and being constantly on edge that you are going to get in trouble. You will not leave this job the same person you were when you started. The ethics of senior management is questionable; you are often pushed to place clients into intense treatment even if it's not appropriate. Also, supervision and support from superiors is seriously lacking. The ultimate irony = you will be working at an eating disorder facility but will be not have enough time in a day to eat lunch.
