Pros

Money is ok. Work environment is ok.

Cons

Terrible management have no clue what’s going on. If you can act like you know a lot they’ll hire you and put you on daylight. Keep you on the off shift even when new employees are hired they stay on daylight for a while. There is no process on the floor and management doesn’t listen to the experienced people on the floor.

Pros

High pay. That’s how they get you.

Cons

Where to start. Lying management. No leadership. When accusations occur they don’t check into it. They just run with it and end up firing people. They micromanage everything. Expenses are a joke. Light on perdiem. On 45 a day. Bring up an issue and they ignore you unless your one of the guys that have been there for 20 years or one of the ones that hang out in the bar with them. Over all. A sub par company with poor management.

Pros

You pretty much get the same benefits that the union (USW) workers negotiated.

Cons

Very unstable company with dishonest management. In terms of their honesty, I have been made multiple promises that were not kept because "sorry, but business conditions have changed" or similar. In terms of stability, if you are considering going to work there look around the Centennial Building, note how many empty cubicles there are, and note that three years ago the building was packed full. Then think about how many people management dumped because they are too incompetent to manage a business. Finally, consider that when they dump you a few years from now (ask about their employment history if you don't believe me) they will give you a pathetic, insulting 1 week of pay for every 2 years of service, and you only get that if you are a good employee. Ask yourself if, 4 years from now, you will be able to take care of your family with 2 weeks of severance pay, or 3 weeks of pay 6 years from now. Please take my advice. Don't take a job with Elliott. Go elsewhere.
