Pros

Incredible job security and knowledgeable co-workers ensure intelligent employees tend to stay on board. Train and transfer to any department in the company, can go from security guard to engineer with enough focused effort.

Cons

Get hired for as much as possible, because this company does not give raises in big chunks...which also means transfers can be blocked outright if you aren't making enough money to reach the minimum salary of a new position you've qualified, applied, and been otherwise approved for. Negative, blame-first atmosphere in upper management.

Pros

The company is very stable and do offer opportunities to move within different engineering groups for more experience. The work load varies but is usually easily manageable

Cons

The management is very poor at the company. They often promote people to management just because they have been there a long time and not because they are qualified to lead.
