Pros

Smart coworkers, growing company, great ERGs

Cons

The expectation and workload vary wildly from division to division. Some functions keep highly skilled and smart workers at a trained monkey level. Others get inexperienced people in way over their head. Division support level is highly tied to the financial performance of the division (which means if your division isn't making great financial gains, you're going to have to work even harder with less support).

Pros

Flexible work schedule. Can plan around family responsibilities. Company car, cell phone plan and auto insurance on company car paid for. Decent vacation policy. Average pay increases. Regular acknowledgement from district and regional managers for positive contributions to company. Company has rapidly grown and still growing rapidly.

Cons

With rapid growth, there are always growing pains. Corporate leadership has changed 3 times over past five years. As a result, job description and travel expectations is not what I originally signed up for. Job requires overtime to meet weekly goals and averages 50-60 hours per week. Not paid for up to 2 hours commute time each day. Often need to work evenings because many clients don't let inspections take place before 11:00 a.m. Some clients require weekend inspections. Too much travel resulting in poor work/life balance. Need to always work overtime because leadership requires making up inspections that would have been completed if weren't on vacation, sick, or at mandatory employee meetings that cut into inspection opportunity time.

Pros

Work from home. Bosses are so lazy and disconnected you will never see them as long as your customers don't call and complain about you.

Cons

On call 24/7 They have a poor understanding of individual state laws pertaining to employee rights. Such as sick time, vacation carry over etc. In response to the new legislation regarding salary exempt status they made everyone hourly with a variable rate and used it as an oppurtunity to lower wages by about 10% for the same production we were doing even though they posted over 6 billion in profits in 2015. They have a belief that management doesnt need to know pest control, just how to manage people They cater to corporate customers offering free service off of our sweat. This hurts more now with the new variable rate that is tied into our invoiving production. Run, dont walk.
