      1. Great company mission. One of the very very few financial services company that actually want to do good for the individuals. Helping them retire with peace. 2. Good strategic changes to focus company strategy on customers and constantly improving customer experience. 3. Lots of initiative to modernize the technology stack. 4. Value the employees and focus on empowering and engaging employees.

      Cons

      1. Lots of legacy code 2. Numerous legal implications and rigorous approval process slow down the speed of development. 3. Not very competitive compensation. 4. No free lunch.

      Pros

      Company actually lives its mission: Help everyday investor prepare well for retirement. It really is an honest financial services company - no conflicts of interests and really is on the side of the individual investor. I am working on something that is more than just trying to turn a profit. Business is continuing to grow, challenge is to support that growth, so there are lots of opportunities in product development.

      Cons

      Compensation needs improvement: Company expects engineers to be both skilled technologists able to work with current open source tools, and be knowledgeable of financial services and consumer space.

      Pros

      - Nice office environment - People are generally nice and friendly - Salary for product marketing seems competitive - Flexibility to work from home (occasionally) when needed - Generous PTO in first year and building the longer you stay - For some teams, getting money to run programs is easy

      Cons

      - Upper level leadership gets side-tracked easily - Management is always looking for the "silver bullet" and is uninterested in anything else - in 2014, there's a complete lack of focus and total chaos in product development
