Pros

Still a great executive management team. Fantastic talent across the global network and blue chip clients offering amazing opportunities for strategic and creative work.

Cons

Horrible management at group head and MD levels. Manipulative and divisive, they breed a culture of paranoia and insecurity, then wonder why bad behaviors start to manifest. Boys club mentality, with misogynistic undertones - feels punitive for women with strong opinions. Management plays favorites and career progression not merit based but based on politics. Overall not a supportive environment. Feels like leadership is always trying to take others down or build a case against people. No support or coaching for staff at VP or SVP levels. Low pay, bad work life balance.

Pros

Client calibur is high, culture is friendly at the surface

Cons

While this company brags about being #1, the Silicon Valley office has been losing clients, losing money, and losing staff like crazy lately. A high-level exec recently came to the office and ripped a new one to the entire staff (mostly comprised of new hires, by that point, with all the recent turnover) implying that the whole country is watching the office, waiting to see if we fail or succeed. Promotions/raises have been extremely minimal this past season and promise to be similar this season, at which point Edelman Silicon Valley is bound to exacerbate the Great Exodus of its most valuable talent. That's good news if you're looking for an immediate hire but bad news if you're looking to grow in a career. The other piece is: Edelman states its low salary compared with competition is outweighed by its career growth potential--well, not in the Silicon Valley office, with this trajectory. Look at the cards: if everyone is leaving, it's probably for a reason.
