      Pros

      Eden serves our Participant with the care and love as if they are their own family because they are. Eden follows and relies heavily on their Core Values to ensure their Participants live the best lives possible. This includes educational, continuous growth in tasks and skills, and enjoyable lives. Extremely Gratifying seeing the growth of the Participants day in and day out.

      Cons

      It is a demanding field that can be physically and emotionally hard sometimes because you are giving your all to other human beings that cannot care for themselves independently.

      Eden provides person-centered Day and Residential services to individuals with Autism across their lifespan. Comprehensive training for all new staff, as well as on-going job-related training is available as a means for professional development and advancement within the agency.

      Cons

      As with any IDD/DDD agency, state and federal regulations often influence, if not dictate, process and procedures.

      Pros

      When I think about the pros of working at Eden the students and participants always come to mind. There is no other place where you can help students learn skills that then transition to volunteer or employment opportunities. There are students I knew at 13 years old that are now in their 30s. Its an amazing experience to see their growth and know you were a part of it.

      Cons

      Eden provides services in multiple locations spread throughout Mercer County. This can cause challenges when communicating information, but it is something we are aware of and always trying to work on.
