Pros

At Eden, the people you work have such an impact on your experience as an employee. Most employees, if not all, are truly passionate about their work and are committed to creating, maintaining, servicing, and supporting affordable housing. Eden has earned an incredible reputation, which makes it easy and exciting to work with partners and to make connections in the industry. Central offices are located directly adjacent to Hayward BART- a huge plus. Benefits are incredible- including medical, dental, vision, time off (sick/vacation), gym membership after 6 months of employment, education advancement reimbursements.

Cons

If you don't like change, Eden is a rapidly growing organization. For most employees that thrive here, this is a pro.

Pros

•Open communication between Talent Development Dpt. & Staff. • Talent Development is a key component to Team member retention as they are receptive to feedback in order to scale

Cons

•HR & ADPO’s undermine Supervisors eager to establish ambitious culture on the on-site level. Subjective complaints between staff are not audited objectively. •No training structure established. Classes are available but often so far out, properties begin to underperform during waiting period •Framework is brittle due to onsite and executive turnover; For example, the Director Ops is only half a year in and the VP of Ops is relatively new as well. •On-site Property Managers are forced to live onsite in order to compensate staggering wages. •Industry low salaries Inevitably attract lackluster talent.
