Pros

The only pros were the people I worked with. I highly doubt anybody with an option is still there.

Cons

Where to begin....I first have to say that I wasn't an employee for very long at all. I saw the writing on the wall and left at the first chance I had. Upper management is an absolute disaster. Middle management can't focus on development of employees because they are always trying to put out some fire created by clueless upper management. Sales flow is a joke, I have never been involved with a company that lost so much business due to the process of the week. This is honestly the most dysfunctional sales environment I have ever witnessed. Customer service is even worse. That department has been gutted and told to cater to the highest spenders, the rest don't matter. The saddest part is, THIS IS ON PURPOSE! Unless they drastically change the way things are done, there is no way they can stay competitive or even relevant. If you read a positive review on this site, it is certainly not the general consensus.

Pros

Great product line with quality content editors and contributors. Base pay is very good.

Cons

Horribly run sales organization with objectives changing almost daily and no clear path going forward. Micro management of sales metrics that do not equate to anything useful in the field. Product content tends to be re-purposed and not written for specific course or content areas. Use of software requires user training (fee based). Territory quotas are generated without being able to verify base revenue on existing sales and unrealistic numbers to reach quota. Few if ANY reps make quota. The Higher Ed division and K12 are fighting for the same business and its a certainty that someone is getting screwed out of revenue they have earned. This is such an issue that we were given a document on "The Rules of Engagement" to help us keep things straight, but did nothing but create distention amongst the field staff. God forbid if you complained because something was amiss with crediting. Tremendous amount of employee turnover at sales and management levels. Shrinking dollar market share due to drastic lowering of product pricing and loss of funding at State and federal levels. NOT a healthy environment to work.
