Pros

This is an on-call substitute teaching position. The flexibility is really nice if you already have a part time job or if you are in between jobs. I personally enjoy working with kids so this was an enjoyable job for me.

Cons

The pay is decent if you already have a bachelor's, but you could likely make more doing something else. There are also no benefits offered.

Thank you for taking the time to review EDUStaff. We value your feedback. We are always in talks with our districts about pay rates and implementation of bonus programs for our substitute employees. As of the 2016-2017 school year, many bonus programs have been put in place and we have seen pay rates increase across Michigan schools. We are convinced that we are beginning to move in the right direction. If you have any questions on pay or have any general questions that you would like to discuss, please call our direct line (877.974.6338).
