Pros

If you are remote, there is good flexibility. Interesting projects.

Cons

Way behind on the times. Technology is old. Layoffs give uncertainty. Not flexible at all if you are in office. They won't let you pick up / drop off kids at school because you need to be in office for a strict 9 straight hours (and are heavily monitoring you). Used to be a family focused firm, but that has changed to try to get people to quit instead of paying severance. 4-5 years ago, this was a great company. Things have changed. I would highly NOT recommend working here. It is dropping in best places to work. Pay isn't great. Career growth is very slow. ELT is very removed from the average working individual. Workers / contractors in India are replacing US workers. Mckinsey is taking over the company with useless consultants who are making 1M+ and doing nothing. Tons of money being spent on NY office. It is really a mess. Not recommend.

Pros

Community of BOA’s is great. Good resource for help. Pay is pretty good. If in a high performing office, bonuses can be real good. The is ample vacation, sick time, and holiday pat

Cons

Limited formal training. All training is online and not very clear if not coming from a financial background. If you happen to have a good FA, all good. Mine claimed he did not know, whenever I had questions. If it had not been for home office I would not have made it as long as I did. FA’s are not trained in people management. When in an office with just FA and BOA you can feel real isolated. If you have a good FA, you will be good. If you don’t it can be a miserable experience after a while. Always remember if there is ever a conflict, the FA is always right because they are the ones bringing in the money. BOA is dispensable.

Pros

Good teammates Good flexibility until June 1st

Cons

- After massive layoffs in 2025 they issued a 4 day rto with the elimination of all flexibility, so we are basically kindergarten students - Out pay in compliance was always at the bottom of the totem pole compared to the industry because of flexibility, but they don’t plan to address that - They give the common corporate speak for rto, but a majority of collaborations are through Zoom -We are losing good people but the board does not care, as long as they get a bigger bonus
